Food Safety Conference to shed light on food practices, innovations

In a bid to create greater awareness on food safety measures and to synergize the collaboration between government and private sector on food safety standards, Oman International Trade and ExhibitionsOman International Trade and ExhibitionsLoading... (OITEOITELoading...) -Conferences Division will host for the first time the Oman Food Safety Conference from 25th to 26th October to be held at the Al Bustan Palace Intercontinental.

The Food Safety Conference is set to be an unprecedented platform for stakeholders, food safety players including the government food control officers, health officials, food safety and health officers, food technologists, nutritionists, owners, outlet and general managers of food business, chefs, food and beverage managers, food manufacturers, and distributors to forge partnerships, whilst providing the best opportunity to learn the latest innovations and practices in the food supply management chain. Aimed to shed light on global innovative food practices, the inaugural Food Safety Conference is set to take the Sultanate's food safety to an international level.

The forum will also be open to all professionals in the storage and refrigerated transportation, traders, importers, exporters, academia, research groups and students, consumer group representatives and industry associations' representatives.
