Worldwide exhibitors from over 40 countries confirms presence at the premier wood-focused exhibition in the Middle East

The biggest ever 'Dubai WoodShow 2010', the Middle East's wood-focused exhibition is set to kick off on Tuesday, April 13, 2010 at the Dubai Airport Expo, with the highest international exhibitor count in its five-year history. Over 150 exhibitors from around the globe and representing more than 40 countries have confirmed their presence at the event, including first-time participants such as the Foresty Holding Altailes (Russia), JHamouch Lumber (France), IPEMA S.L. (Spain), Weicon Middle East (Germany), Green Resources SL (Spain), and Gutchess Lumber (USA) amongst others.

The show's steady yearly growth and success parallel to the regional surge in wood products demand, thus engaging Strategic Marketing & Exhibitions - the event's organizer - to rethink its structure and offer a more compelling programme. In 2010, the show's new direction aims at multiplying business opportunities for traders, enhancing international woodworkers' skills and capabilities, and raising the profile of the industry and awareness within the sector. In line with this strategy, the 'Dubai WoodShow 2010' will feature the first annual 'Dubai WoodShow Forum', the event's first conference offering a series of exclusive keynote sessions & case studies delivered by high profile experts, academics and top executives from the entire wood industry spectrum.

"Given the impressive numbers of committed exhibitors and visitors at this year's show, we will be expecting a sizeable value of closed deals on the spot, which will make a significant impact on the growth of the regional and global wood sector," said Dawood Al Shezawi, Managing Director, Strategic Marketing & Exhibitions. "The extent and scope of this year's show, especially the introduction of educational and business-savvy features that address specific needs of attendees, accentuate our determination to create the ultimate business experience for wood industry professionals in the region and across the globe."

In addition to the 'Dubai WoodShow Forum', the 'Dubai WoodShow 2010' will also feature the 'Dubai WoodShow Roundtable', a dedicated platform for exclusive one-on-one business meetings among exhibitors, potential clients and future partners. The 2010 event will also introduce the 'Dubai WoodShow Workshops', daily two-hour interactive presentations designed to provide attendees (small groups of 20-30 registered delegates) with a practical learning experience on American timber grading, sustainability & certification for the timber Industry and sanding & finishing technologies.
