Revenues of Jordan's exports of fertilizers rise by 3%

Amman - The Kingdom's exports revenues of fertilizers stood at JD 72.6 million during the first quarter of 2010, up by 3.1 percent compared to the same period of 2009, according to Central Bank of Jordan (CBJ) figures.
The surge in revenues was attributed to the rise in fertilizers exports by 63.5 percent, despite a decline in fertilizers prices by 36.9 percent.
India, Ethiopia and Japan accounted for 80 % of Jordan's total exports of fertilizers.
According to the data, fertilizers are Jordan's fourth largest exported commodity after garments, vegetables and potash.
